A Pretoria civil and structural engineering firm, established in 2018.

Tusgad Ventures (Pty) Ltd is a civil, structural and project management engineering consultancy established in 2018 and based in Pretoria. Led by founder and director OJ Ajayi, the practice brings together engineers, technologists and technicians working across private development and public sector.

Infrastructure engineering rooted in purpose, resilience and African insight.

The practice works with private developers, architects, main contractors and public-sector clients across South Africa and the wider region, with experience spanning buildings, industrial developments and municipal infrastructure.

Our Philosophy

A modern engineering practice, run with discipline.

We believe engineering is both a science and a responsibility. Every project must balance safety, performance, cost efficiency and long-term durability. Our approach integrates evidence-based design, quality assurance at every level, transparent communication, digital tools for accuracy and coordination, and solutions tailored to each client’s operational needs.

We coordinate the civil and structural design in a single model, so clashes are caught before they reach site.

Where appointed through the full project lifecycle, the same team supports feasibility, design, construction and handover.

The founder

OJ Ajayi, Pr Eng

Pr EngMSc (Civil Engineering)PMP®

OJ qualified from the University of Cape Town in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Over the course of his career he has delivered projects across multiple African markets, including Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, Nigeria and Cameroon.

Design coordination, construction monitoring and clear reporting help maintain alignment between approved information and work on site.

His professional expertise spans structural and civil engineering design, with a proven track record in leading major multidisciplinary building, industrial and mixed-use developments. OJ is professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and brings more than two decades of technical leadership and project delivery experience to the practice.

Part of a wider group

Tusgad Ventures is backed by an established international engineering operation. Our sister practice, Goodhope Consulting Engineering Services, has a long track record in Nigeria. For your project, you deal directly with the Tusgad team in South Africa, with the depth of a wider group behind us.
